Gahanna City Council approves tobacco retail licensure

At their meeting on Monday, Gahanna City Council voted unanimously to approve a tobacco retail licensure requiring all stores selling tobacco products to apply for a permit.

This measure is expected to help keep tobacco and vape products out of the hands of minors and young adults. Beginning in March, any retailer within the city of Gahanna caught selling tobacco products to those under 21 will face penalties up to and including a license to sell tobacco products revoked.
