Are you a fan of fried chicken?

If you answered yes to that question, you might be glad to hear that the chain Hot Chicken Takeover has just opened a new location in Gahanna. The location celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting yesterday on April 6 with Gahanna’s Chamber of Commerce.

Hot Chicken Takeover is a chain that got its start in Columbus and is named for the Nashville-style hot chicken it serves. The Gahanna location is Hot Chicken Takeover’s seventh location in central Ohio; the chain also has locations in Grandview, Powell, Westerville, Easton, Clintonville, and North Market.

The menu, of course, features fried chicken, which comes in a few different spice levels ranging from “cold” to holy, which is the hottest level Hot Chicken Takeover offers and is even spicier than their signature Nashville hot chicken. They offer tenders, thighs, drumsticks, whole wings, boneless breasts, boneless breast sandwiches with slaw and pickles, and “whole birds” (a whole bird consists of two thighs, two wings, two drumsticks, and two breasts).
