Officials prepare for total solar eclipse across Ohio

While many communities are making plans to celebrate the total solar eclipse happening in just a few weeks, state officials are making plans to keep them safe.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has signed an executive order directing all state departments and agencies to be ready and prepared to ensure the health and safety of all Ohioans and visitors during the eclipse.

According to the order, the Ohio Emergency Management Agency (OEMA) is coordinating the state’s preparation and response to the event all law enforcement agencies are prepared to respond with necessary personnel and resources to assist local law enforcement in protecting local communities.
